| Telecommunications Network Services |
 |
In providing telecommunications network services, we are able to provide full turnkey solutions for our telecommunications clientele, encompassing network planning, design and optimization, network deployment, network operations and maintenance and other related services. Clients can approach us to engage our Group's expertise for individual services or for full turnkey deployment solutions. Post-deployment, we also offer managed services where we are capable of operating and maintaining telecommunications infrastructure. Simplistically, we design, build and maintain all means of telecommunications network infrastructure.
We are familiar with all current and upcoming telecommunications technologies and networks including fixed line networks, cellular telecommunications, wired and wireless broadband modes and optical technologies. However, at present, we focus on services for cellular telecommunications networks in line with current market demand. In this respect, we have completed implementation works for major cellular network operators including Maxis, Celcom, DiGi and U-Mobile.
Design
The design stage of a telecommunications network is a most crucial part to ensuring a good and effective network. Good planning, design and network optimisation will ensure that network owners/ operators will be able to provide services that boast both an optimum coverage in width and depth. Wide network coverage ensures acceptable service levels in wide geographical areas, while deep network coverage ensures that service levels in coverage areas are highly effective in terms of speed and reliability. By understanding our client's requirements and budget, our team will aid clients in determining the number of base transceiver stations necessary, and the most optimum locations/ sites for these new network nodes. Upon agreement to the plan by client, we help clients acquire the suggested sites, along with all necessary permits. This stage requires negotiation with land owner on rental of tower/ land to come up with costing. Sites are then audited for suitability, after which finer design work can be completed.
Build
Procurement
Once network plans are confirmed to be ready for deployment, OCK Group embarks on the procurement of materials and resources necessary for network building. This includes building raw materials, telecommunications equipment and hardware, as well as subcontractors for various deployment works.
At the building stage, there are three main categories of work; these are the civil, Mechanical & Electrical ("M&E") engineering deployment, telecommunications equipment implementation and network integration.
Civil, M&E Infrastructure Deployment
Initial site deployment involves civil and M&E works to prepare sites for the implementation and integration of telecommunications network equipment. Civil works involve the minor construction of fixed structures, preparation of access roads or paths, and other ground work. On the other hand, the scope of our M&E services is as follows:
| |
 |
Laying of electrical and back-end infrastructure cables |
| |
 |
High Tension (33/11 KV Substation) Electrical Services> |
| |
 |
HT and LV Overhead-line Services |
| |
 |
Low Voltage (L.V.) Electrical Services |
| |
 |
Extra Low Voltage (E.L.V.) Services |
| |
 |
External Street Lighting Services |
| |
 |
Installation of external and Internal Telephone Services |
| |
 |
Implementation of Air-conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation Systems |
| |
 |
Implementation of Fire Protection System |
Maintain
Post deployment, our Group provides various managed services and support services to assist clients in operating and maintaining their telecommunications networks. We also provide such services for client's existing networks, not previously deployed by our Group.
The main objective of our Group's network maintenance services is to provide support to maintain and troubleshoot all critical network elements. Services can be provided up to a 24/7 basis. There are two types of maintenance which are corrective maintenance and routine preventive maintenance. This service is driven by requirements or Key Performance Indicators ("KPI") set by clients and our Group in the Service Level Agreement ("SLA") signed by client. The major scope of work included under network maintenance includes:
| |
 |
Front Office to receive and manage reports of malfunctions, breakdowns and issue reports |
| |
 |
Corrective Maintenance to rectify system breakdowns and to resolve network issues |
| |
 |
Preventive Maintenance as a planned event to periodically check for impending breakdowns, and to ensure constant system health |
| |
 |
Spare Part Delivery and Inventory Management for parts and equipment subject to wear and tear |
| |
 |
Issue Logging and Reporting for future reference |
